A LatinAmerican Silicon Valley by Vito Di Bari

As a futurist keynote speaker, I have been lucky enough to travel to different countries around the world and present my futurist keynotes.

The development of e-government is related to the evolutionary process of the country itself and the Dominican Republic is aware of everything it has to do to succeed. When I went to the Dominican Republic, I was able to talk with both the President of the country and other executives and ministers, to let them know that the Dominican Republic could become a Latin American Silicon Valley. You might ask yourself why? Well, stay with me.

Technological Innovations and e-government

Silicon Valley is considered to be the heart of the technology industry. Considering that the Dominican Republic has been the winner of the Network of e-Government Leaders of Latin America and the Caribbean (Red GEALC) for two years, we know that it is very close to matching Silicon Valley in terms of innovation and technological advances in favor of its citizens.

But what exactly is e-government? It is best defined as “the use of technological communication devices to provide public services to citizens, and others, in a country or region.

E-government offers the possibility of much more direct access for citizens. This is convenient for the government since, with these types of devices, it is possible to provide citizens with all the government services.

It is necessary to clearly establish what the goals are and the requirements that will allow for a good training in the use of technologies and innovations, as well as the costs that must be assumed.

The future of a country is in the hands of e-government

Red GEALC recognizes the best innovative solutions implemented by all the governments in the region, with the goal of providing excellent citizen-centered public management. Knowing in depth what the trends in different industries are, it can allow for greater organization and management of the country’s resources.

It’s important to remember that, the use of a country’s innovations and technological advances, must be kept under totally transparent care. This is to ensure the best possible functioning of the state. Fortunately, the Dominican Republic has proven to be a country where its government and citizens have been able to put the digital government to good use.

Futurist Keynote Speaker in the Dominican Republic

If there’s one thing I love to do, it’s preparing, and presenting, futurist keynotes. Being in the Dominican Republic was definitely a unique and fun experience. The audience gave me the opportunity to interact with them while we talked about important topics. The digital transformation of the state has been so good that they won the e-Government Network of Latin America and the Caribbean award. As a futurist keynote speaker, I think it is vital that governments take the future seriously and study how innovations and technological advances will affect their work and their industries. The future is already here and it is time to move forward to reach the ultimate goal of absolute success and digital evolution.
